Who we are

Lukas Treu became a Board member in 2020 and currently serves as Board President. He also previously served as Vice President and Secretary, as well as leader of the Leadership Hudson alumni for two years. As a member of the Leadership Hudson Class of 2018, he worked with his classmates to raise funds for local charitable organizations by creating and selling the Hudson Farmers Market Cookbook.

Board member Cheryl Maimona joined the Board in 2020 after serving two years leading the Leadership Hudson alumni group and is the current Secretary of the Board. She is a graduate of the 2015 Leadership Hudson class and has used that experience to serve on the City of Hudson Personnel Advisory and Appeals Board.

Cheryl is also the Past President of the Rotary Club of Hudson Clocktower, the founder organization of Leadership Hudson. Her other community activities include volunteering as a Trustee at Case-Barlow Farm, serving as Board Secretary. She is also an active member at Hudson United Methodist Church.

A graduate of The Ohio State University, cum laude and with distinction in political science, Cheryl also holds a J.D. from the Capital University Law School.

Cheryl Maimona

Heidi Johnson joined the Leadership Hudson board in 2025 after having served as coordinator from 2024-2025 and as facilitator from 2021 – 2024. As a member of the Leadership Hudson Class of 2020 (the longest class ever, not graduating until 2022) Heidi served as class president and was a lead on their Clocktower Quest project, a family-friendly scavenger hunt that highlighted businesses, landmarks, and nonprofit organizations around town.

Having a career in nonprofit work as well as serving as adjunct professor at Kent State for 19 years, Heidi currently oversees grant distributions, scholarship awards, and communications at the Portage Foundation. Her love of leadership programs started when she joined Leadership Portage County in 2007, and she’ll soon return to join the LPC Class of 2027.

Heidi holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in human development and family studies. She and her husband moved to Hudson in 2012 and are enjoying raising their two daughters here.

Jackie is a lifelong learner with a passion for volunteerism. With an undergraduate degree from Clemson University and an MBA from the University of South Carolina, Jackie’s first career was in consumer products marketing for Hanes Brands. Jackie’s second chapter allowed her to expand her volunteer activity while raising three sons, who, along with their partners, are the loves of her life. She is currently a proudly a member of the Hudson Montessori School staff, a job which brings great joy and fulfillment.

Jenn holds a degree in Special Education and has taught in a variety of classes and settings. She currently is Company Program Manager and Entrepreneurship Education Program Manager for Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio. She also runs a small crafting business. Jenn enjoys spending time with her family – hubby, 2 kids, and 2 rescue pups. She has a passion for traveling, and loves reading, cooking, and throwing parties.

Vic Hamor has spent most of his life in Hudson, having moved to the community at the age of three. His deep connection to the city has shaped a lifelong commitment to civic engagement and strengthening the community that has given so much to him and his family.

A member of the Class of 2016 of Leadership Hudson, Vic has remained actively involved with the organization for the past decade as a program facilitator and currently serves on its board. During his time with Leadership Hudson, he has led significant organizational improvements to strengthen focus, accountability, and overall impact. He has worked to foster a mission-driven environment centered on leadership development and community service, helping cultivate meaningful civic engagement throughout the Hudson community.

Vic also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Laurel Lake Retirement Community, where he is a member of the Investment Committee. Service to others is a core value that shapes both his professional and personal life. When he is not volunteering or engaged in community initiatives, Vic enjoys spending time on the golf course and pursuing his longtime interest in history.

Vic Hamor

Michael Beam joined the Leadership Hudson board in 2025. As a member of the 2023 class, Michael and his classmates worked with the Hudson Police, Fire, and EMS to develop the SAFER Hudson Program, which offers a service to senior citizens or residents with medical disabilities who would like to make Hudson Emergency Services aware of situations that will allow first responders to respond to incidents at their home safely and effectively.

Michael is an active interdisciplinary researcher focused at the intersection of technology & society. He has worked at Kent State University since 2014, where is a Professor in the School of Emerging Media & Technology and Interim Executive Director, Academic Operations and Strategic Planning, serving the College of Architecture & Environmental Design, College of the Arts, and College of Communication & Information. Michael loves music and produced a radio show and podcast, The Beat Oracle, for 20 years. He previously served on the Hudson Community TV board from 2017-2022. He lives in Hudson with his wife and three children.

With her BS in Human Resource Management and minor in Psychology she spent the first two decades of her corporate career in the areas of recruitment, training, organizational development, and other HR generalist work. The past 2 decades she has spent as professional volunteer in various non profits and other local organizations. She has served as an environmental activist, elected official, fundraiser and event planner. She has held board positions as President, Treasurer and Co-Chair throughout her years in this capacity.

Currently, she serves as a Leadership Hudson Class Facilitator and as President of Hudson Community First, an organization she has devoted over 10 years to in different roles.

Kristin Haid became a facilitator for Leadership Hudson following her graduation from the class in 2025.

Kristin is Director of Operations for Katie Madio Homes as well as treasurer for the Democratic Club of Hudson. She has a degree in Journalism from Ohio University and has experience in a wide variety of professional roles encompassing marketing, advertising, writing/editing and financial services communications, to name a few. She has lived in Hudson for 14 years and currently resides there with her husband and two children. In her free time she indulges her passions of crafting, reading, Cleveland sports, boating and fishing.

Kristin Haid

Dennis Hensley became a board member in 2022. As a member of the 2015 Leadership Hudson Class the project was to advocate bike riding and awareness throughout Hudson by connecting residents and visitors with the community via bike riding, coordinating bike route development with the City of Hudson and secure national recognition as a bike friendly community.

Dennis is the PMO Manager, at nVent and is a volunteer firefighter in the Hudson Fire Department. Dennis served as President of the Hudson Fire Department Association and was an integral part in renovating the Hudson Town Hall into the Hudson Fire Museum and Visitor Center. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, photographing landscapes and sports, and is always up for new adventures.

Don Barker joined the Leadership Hudson Board in 2026 and is current Alumni President. He is a member of the Leadership Hudson Class of 2024 and is currently working with other class members to finally complete their class project fall of 2026.

Don holds a degree in Secondary Education from the University of Akron. He currently is a Sales Manager at CDW. In addition to Leadership Hudson, Don also volunteers time as Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 777 in Hudson. Don enjoys spending time with his family – wife, and 2 kids. He has a passion for traveling, camping, cooking, and concerts.
